Despite Dip, Wallingford CMT Scores Remain Above State Averages

The Wallingford School District has improved its CAPT scores from a year ago, but the CMT scores generally dropped across the district.

Tuesday, the Connecticut Department of Education released the standardized test scores for every district in the state, and for Wallingford it was a mixed bag.

In Wallingford, Connecticut Academic Performance Test scores were up and the scores in general were all above the state averages. However, the scores on the Connecticut Mastery Test were generally down.

That was the trend throughout the state. Overall, CAPT scores were up in Connecticut, while CMT scores were down.

The CAPT is given to 10th-grade students. The CMTs are given to students in grades three through eight.
