Wallingford Names Hutt New Personnel Director

Waterbury native spent 11 years as town's assistant personnel director.

Jim Hutt was recently named Wallingford's new personnel director after spending 11 years as the town's assistant director.

Hutt, 54, replaces Terrence Sullivan, who headed the department for 18 years and retired in March due to illness, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

Hutt called his promotion "bittersweet" given the circumstances with Sullivan.

Still, Hutt, who will make $116,202 a year, told the Record-Journal that assuming the top spot is "the culmination of my professional career. My career goal was to become a personnel director."
