Wallingford Mayor Dickinson, Other Officials Concerned With YMCA Expansion Proposal
YMCA is looking to build a new facility at Community Lake Park.
The YMCA is exploring options for building a new facility but one proposal may have hit a roadblock after town officials expressed concern over the plan on Monday.
A proposal for a new YMCA facility at Community Lake is still in the early conceptual stage, but Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. told the Meriden Record-Journal that he is concerned over the size of the building, the need to expand parking as well as the agreement the town has with Masonic Charity Foundation that requires the park land to be for public use.
