Not Just Junk in the Trunk

To encourage recycling, Wallingford is holding its first Trunk Sale on November 3.

Has fall cleaning left you with a pile of stuff you don’t know what to do with? Put it in your trunk and bring it to the Wallingford Town Hall parking lot on Saturday, November 3, 2012.

To promote recycling, the town is hosting its first Trunk Sale. It’s like a tag sale, but people sell things out of the trunks of their cars. The sale lasts from 9 a.m. until noon. Setup starts at 8 a.m.

If you would like to sell, please register by October 31 with the Wallingford Program Planning Office. You will be asked to pay a $5 donation that will go to the town’s Holiday for Giving program. To register, call (203) 294-2060.

Sellers will be assigned two parking spaces. In addition to your trunk, you can display items on a tarp or blanket by your car. Trailers and commercial vehicles are not allowed.

No large furniture items or animals, please.
