Fall Hours Begin for Town Compost Center

In October and November, the town compost center will be open longer for leaf disposal.

Those leaves are starting to pile up on lawns across town. That's why the Wallingford Compost Center at 157 John Street has extended its hours for the months of October and November.

Free disposal of brush (less than six inches in diameter and four feet in length) and leaves (no plastic bags, please) is available at the compost center for Wallingford residents.

Large tree limbs and logs may be dropped off at the center for a fee.

Landscapers or residents in commercial vehicles larger than a pick-up truck may dispose of leaves and brush free of charge if they have a registration form certifying that the materials are from a Wallingford household. To get a registration form, please call (203) 294-2060.
