Wallingford Man Graduates State Police Academy

John M. Acampora will serve in Troop G in Bridgeport.

Eighty-three people have just graduated from the state police academy, and one of them is one of Wallingford's own.

John M. Acampora graduated Thursday from the state police academy in Meriden and will serve at Troop G in Bridgeport. Gov. Dannel Malloy sent out a press release congratulating the 83 graduates.

“The duty of public safety is a 24/7 responsibility, meaning our first responders are often away from home and their loved ones,” Malloy said.  “The families of the graduates have made and will continue to make tremendous sacrifices, and I want to also thank them for their support.”
