Wallingford Firefighter Loses Battle With Cancer
Rick L. Garrison, 53, passed away on Saturday.
The Wallingford Fire Department lost one of it’s own this past weekend.
Rick L. Garrison, of Wallingford, died on Saturday after a long fight with cancer. He was 53.
According to his obituary, Garrison leaves behind a wife, Robin L. Garrison, three children, grandchildren and several members of his extended family.

Wallingford fire Capt. James Duffy told The Record-Journal newspaper Garrison was one of the “most compassionate people I ever met.”

A wake is scheduled at The Wallingford Funeral Home on 809 N. Main St. Ext. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to Palladino Cancer Center, MidState Medical Center, 435 Lewis Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451.
