How to Prepare Healthy Meals

Learn the building blocks for a healthy diet and sample some delicious,
healthy recipes at Wallingford Public Library on Wednesday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Join Kailee Conrad, RD and Health and Wellness Coordinator
for Drust Markets for a presentation on creating a healthy eating plan using
the USDA’s MyPlate philosophy. Following her presentation, attendees will be
provided with the opportunity to assist in preparing a healthy meal and will
receive recipes to take home for their own healthy meal preparation. Samples of
the prepared recipes will be served.
MyPlate focuses on helping consumers make healthier food choices and
emphasizes the fruit, vegetable, grains, protein foods, and dairy food
groups.

This program is cosponsored by ShopRite of Wallingford and
is a part of the library’s Read ‘Em and Eat adult summer reading program. The
program is free and open to the public and advance registration is requested to
ensure the proper quantity of food can be provided for all attendees. Please
register or request additional information by contacting the library at
203-265-6754 or online at www.wallingfordlibrary.org
