Coming Soon! Wallingford Patch Hits Refresh

Next month we'll unveil a new look for Patch that helps you live better in Wallingford

This past summer, we launched Wallingford Patch with a pretty bold mission in mind: To make your life ridiculously easy.

That meant covering the biggest stories in town while also helping you share even the smallest feats of neighborly kindness or communicate with your customers.

At every turn we thought of new and better ways to deliver on our promise, which is why we’re so excited to premiere an improved Wallingford Patch next month.

Come mid-December you’ll be able to:

  • Personalize Wallingford Patch by following groups. A few clicks makes your local news feed custom-fit to the topics you care about. Police blotter and shelter pets? Taxes and restaurant reviews? Why not?
  • Better organize your day by creating groups of your own. Use Patch to plan a rec sports league or school fundraiser. Everyone can finally be on the same page—literally.
  • Experience a better mobile Patch. We know you live on your smartphone—so we put everything you love about Patch in a smaller, more portable package.
  • Share comments and photos more intuitively and much, much faster.
  • Turn any blog or opinion piece into a mini-community of interest, complete with followers of your very own.

For a sneak peek, check out Long Beach (NY) Patch and let us know what you think. You can also ask any questions—large or small—by emailing Senior Regional Editor Elissa Bass at elissa@patch.com.

You can also register your interest in forming a group right when the new Wallingford Patch launches here. We'll walk you through it!

And I don't suppose the low rate of male participation in the labor market (a bit of info I missedRead More somehow) has anything to do with a RISE in female participation? You aren't suggesting that women just stay home and out of the jobs that somehow "belong" to men, are you?

Touchy, touchy! All I asked was how MAC compared the two apparent misstatements. My guess was thatRead More the obvious disrespect that was shown by the way he refers to the President was a hint that he was a biased commentator. His defenders have called me a lib, but most folks who know me wouldn't call me that at all. I was hoping for some "fair and balanced" discussion here, but the name-callers have arrived. I ask MAC to provided some reference to support his latest pronouncement that the President "wants to destroy our economy." There are a lot of commentators who would disagree with your assessment of the economy anyway, but when did the President say he "wants to destroy our economy?"

We now have a president who wants to destroy our economy and most all of what made America theRead More (formerly?) greatest and most FREE nation in the world! He has done a fair job of accomplishing that destruction, has he not? The male labor participation rate is now the lowest since WWII, and energy costs have "necessarily skyrocketed" as he demanded!! Then we have "Common Core" and the like for the nation's schools, under which the regime denies the Constitution and instead teaches "social justice" and that America is responsible for the poverty in other nations!
