Wallingford's Burns & McDonnell Again Named a Top Place to Work in CT

Firm Recognized Among Connecticut’s Top 35 Employers for Fifth Year in a Row

For the fifth consecutive year, the New England office of Burns & McDonnell has been named among the Best Places to Work in Connecticut from the Hartford Business Journal.

Burns & McDonnell was ranked 8th among large companies that were recognized.  Large companies were categorized as those with over 200 employees. Overall, thirty-five companies were recognized as top places to work in Connecticut for the year 2014, and that list was determined through a national survey conducted by The Best Companies Group that ranks the most progressive companies in the state based on employee satisfaction.

The rankings were revealed at Hartford Business Journal’s ninth annual Best Places to work event.

Company-wide, Burns & McDonnell added about 700 jobs in 2013. Since 2006, the New England office of Burns & McDonnell has grown from three employee-owners to its current staff of 325. The firm forecasts adding another 600 positions this year, including 54 new hires in New England.

 

                                             

Recently, Burns & McDonnell expanded their footprint within their Campus at Greenhill New England Office in Wallingford, CT.  The Campus at Greenhill is an energy efficient facility offering employee-owners a brand new facility that features an expansive floor plan with lots of natural light, a training room, auditorium, and access to an in house fitness center and cafeteria.
