Wallingford Resident Dawn Carranzo Appointed ACES Manager of Transportation and Facilities

Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) is pleased to announce that Dawn Carranzo has been appointed ACES Manager of Transportation and Facilities, effective July 1, 2014.

Ms. Carranzo began her ACES career in 1987 as a Teacher Assistant / Driver (TA/D). She has served as the president of the TAD union since 1998 and has sat on the executive board for SEIU Local 760 since August 2000. In 2001, she was appointed ACES Transportation Coordinator.   In addition to overseeing a fleet of more than 100 vehicles, Ms. Carranzo will oversee the maintenance, safety and security of ACES buildings. A native of East Haven, Ms. Carranzo currently resides in Wallingford, CT. 

 “Ensuring student safety is of the upmost importance to me. I look forward to working with ACES’ custodial and school-based staffs to make sure that our schools are safe, clean, secure places for children to learn,” shared Ms. Carranzo. “Dawn has played a major part in ACES facilities and security assessment and has been involved in several major construction projects such as snow removal - no small feat this past year. She is an asset to the agency. I look forward to working with her in this new capacity,” said Dr. Thomas Danehy, ACES Executive Director.
