Quinnipiac’s Albert Schweitzer Institute ‘Beauty & Wonder of Nature’ Art Exhibit Opens April 1

Quinnipiac University’s Albert Schweitzer Institute andSustainability Committee will co-sponsor the art exhibit, “Beauty & Wonder of Nature,” on weekdays from April 1 to Aug. 29 in the Rhena Schweitzer Conference Room, 660 New Road.

“We at the Albert Schweitzer Institute have the responsibility of introducing people to Dr. Schweitzer’s philosophy of reverence for life,” said Josephine Palmieri, assistant to the executive director of the Schweitzer Institute. “This exhibit enables the artists to express, in their creative ways, the beauty of all life, including animals and the environment. It also allows viewers to see the wonder that nature and animals offer to us.”

The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, features pieces submitted by Quinnipiac faculty, staff and students and is dedicated to the beauty and wonder of animals and the environment.

“The art exhibit is a way to remind people of the beauty and wonder of nature all around us,” Wolfe said. “The timing of the exhibit coincides with spring and Earth Day, which is hopefully a time when people are reflecting more about the state of the planet. Albert Schweitzer's reverence for life philosophy is about our connections – to other people, animals and the environment. Showcasing nature-themed submissions is our way of celebrating the talents of our Quinnipiac community and the gifts of nature.”
