Have you gotten your flu shot yet? Here’s your chance. The Wallingford Health Department is sponsoring walk-in flu clinics at the library this week on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon.
Seasonal flu vaccination is now recommended for everyone age 6 months and older. The flu vaccine protects people from the three strains of influenza that are likely to be circulating this flu season. Flu vaccines provide annual protection, and flu strains change regularly, so it is important to get a new flu shot every year.
Stop by the library on Thursday, October 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, October 20, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Collins Room to get a flu shot administered by the Wallingford Visiting Nurse Association (VNA).
For more information, call the VNA at (203) 269-1475 or the Wallingford Public Library at (203) 265-6754.
