Gaylord Hospital Joins the National #GivingTuesday Movement To Encourage Spending With A Purpose

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, has joined the National #GivingTuesday movement, a collective effort to inspire charitable giving during the holiday season by shifting the focus from the frenzy of shopping to giving to causes that change lives.

Taking place December 3, 2013 – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – #GivingTuesday will use the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping. #GivingTuesday will encourage people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.

“Gaylord Hospital decided to join the national #GivingTuesday movement to remind everyone that the spirit of the holiday season should be about giving back to the community and not about commercialism,” said Tara Knapp, Vice President, Development & Public Relation at Gaylord Hospital. “The most rewarding gift we can give one another is the commitment to work together to support worthwhile causes and improve our local communities.”
